Case Study : St. Jude / Chili's
Challenge:
As part of the fundraising campaign, we needed to produce over 170,000 Create-A-Pepper tees and coordinate their delivery to over 1200 Chili’s restaurants nationwide. We also needed to build greater value into the tees sold to Chili’s guests.
Solution:
We took advantage of our buying power and solid vendor-partner relationships to reach the best possible price for the Create-A-Pepper tees. By reducing the costs of the promotion, Chili’s was able to maximize the percentage of proceeds that are given to St. Jude. - We helped Chili’s reach a wider audience by creating and hosting a separate website for Chili’s guests to visit and purchase Create-A-Pepper tees and keys online. - We coordinated the distribution of tees so that all 1200 Chili’s received their Create-A-Pepper tees within the space of one week. - We provided a new way to package the tees that would be sold to Chili’s guests – for the first time in the fundraiser’s history, tees were compressed and shrink-wrapped along with a coupon for free chips and queso.
Result:
Chili’s Create-A-Pepper Campaign 2009 raised $4.6 million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
